Giving hands food initiatives is a unique non-profit organization that aims to Alleviate hunger and combat aspect of multi-dimensional poverty by delivering food and disaster relief assistance to people of Kwara state and its environs.
Our programs and services include healthy food box program for poor families, children school feeding, occasional lunches through community kitchen program, youth farm that provides opportunities for self-sufficiency activities for “at risk youths”.
Our clients’ bases are the low-income earners families and unemployed youths.
Note: Nearly half of those served by our programs are children, women, widows and youth.
Basically, we are out to alleviate hunger and food insecurity to reduce poverty and crimes.
1). By Helping the less privileged in the society with effective distribution of healthy foodstuffs and meals.
2). By Establishing youth farm and training of the street youths to be self reliant through best farming practices and food production.
3). By Establishing a strong and reliable network connection with the local growers, assist them with funds and provide aids of different kinds where needed.
We want to create a sustainable and functional facility for food bank & disaster relief items in Kwara State.
To ensure its continuity with fulfilling aims and objectives, we planned to:
1). Establish a reliable donation network with the local growers, retailers, wholesalers and processors worldwide.
2). Establish a youth farm and employ “at risk youth“.
3). Maintain good relationships with our philanthropic individuals, corporate and private charities organizations to ensure continuous funding for our NGO
4). Continuously source for funds and grants, organize fund-raising events to ensure sustainability and mission fulfillment of our NGO.
5). Effectively distributes the food and relief supplies diligently and make a good impact on people’s lives and mark our footprints on the sands of time.
